Goldberg Segalla has an immediate opportunity for a Workers' Compensation Paralegal in its Buffalo, Syracuse, or Albany office.

Essential Job Functions:

• Ability to handle pressure, interruptions and multiple tasks with frequently changing priorities and deadlines.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Programs including Word, Outlook, TEAMS, Calendar, and Excel.
• Analyze legal documents and ensure accuracy.
• Assist attorney with defense of workers' compensation claims.
• Conduct legal research related to workers' compensation laws and regulations.
• Daily management of billable time entries with billable target defined by Workers' Compensation Supervisor.
• Professionally and tactfully communicate with clients, insurance companies, medical providers and attorneys to relay information and defend claims.
• Collect and analyze documents and information to assist with litigation.
• Knowledge of legal documents and terminology as it relates to Workers' Compensation.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information in accordance with firm policies.
• Multi-task interruptions and multiple projects with frequently changing priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to jump into an existing caseload and move cases forward.
• Prepare pertinent documents and substantive correspondences.
• Provide status reports and recommendations to attorney(s) throughout all stages of litigation.
• Save all emails, documents and filings in the document management system.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities & Experience:

• Associate's degree or higher, 2+ years in an administrative environment.
• Clear communication in English.
• Self-motivated, able to meet deadlines under pressure.

This role offers an hourly salary and bonus opportunity. The hourly salary range for this position is $20.00 to $32.00. Actual pay may be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted by law. This position also offers a full benefits package.
