Lead Scaffold Builder must act as a mentor and coach to the Scaffold E&D Carpenters to aid in their development. Lead Carpenter is required to work with tools.Education or experience that prepares you for success:Some trade school preferred but not requiredScaffold E&D Carpenter for a minimum of 2 years or approved equivalent experienceAbility to work comfortably and safely at considerable heightsBilingual a plusKnowledge/Skills/Abilities you may rely on:Must be able to safely and effectively manage a small crew to erect and dismantle various types of scaffolding under the supervision of an E&D Foreman 2 on siteMust have good knowledge of the OSHA rules and regulations regarding scaffoldingMust have a good knowledge and understanding of the various types of scaffolding material being used so that the intended loads of the scaffolding are not exceededKnowledge and use of various types of scaffolding materialsThe physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 40 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.
