CNA I - Intensive Care Unit Nights

Overview: Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant I in the Intensive Care Unit, working full-time night shifts. This role involves providing essential patient care, observing and reporting any changes in patient conditions, and maintaining a clean and well-stocked patient environment.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver basic patient care with compassion and attention. Monitor patients closely and communicate any abnormalities promptly. Ensure supplies are organized and readily available for the unit. Perform various duties as assigned to support the healthcare team.

Skills and Abilities: Strong interpersonal skills to foster excellent guest relations. Effective verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to follow supervision from a multidisciplinary team and adapt to changing work schedules. Quick learner with a flexible approach to tasks. Basic understanding of age-specific patient needs and fundamental computer skills. Physical capability to assist with patient turning and lifting, including prolonged standing, walking, and bending. Visual and auditory acuity necessary for patient observation. Awareness of infection control practices due to potential exposure to blood and body fluids.

Education and Certifications: Must hold current BLS certification from the American Heart Association and be listed on the Nursing Assistant Registry.

Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare setting is beneficial but not mandatory. Willingness to work variable shifts and nights is essential.
