Own the service mission that keeps cranes lifting

At MGX Equipment Services in Kansas City, MO, you’ll guide a service organization that customers count on—coaching technicians, steering departmental P&L, and setting the pace for safe, precise execution. You’ll report to the Branch Manager and serve as the heartbeat between customers, suppliers, and our sales & marketing team.

Your impact

Imagine a customer calling in with an urgent crawler crane issue. You quickly assign a seasoned technician, align parts and warranty support, and reference the latest Service Bulletin to prevent a repeat failure. By day’s end, you’ve also finalized a warranty settlement, updated a Product Improvement Program plan, and prioritized tomorrow’s work orders for the shop.

• Deliver outstanding aftermarket coverage across parts, technical service, and related needs.
• Provide skilled field support for installation, operation, repair, and machine modifications—plus parts and warranty guidance.
• Lead warranty negotiations and run the department’s warranty program.
• Coordinate Service Bulletins and Product Improvement Programs with precision.
• Interpret and investigate inquiries spanning parts, service, and warranty.
• Nurture supplier relationships and sync efforts with sales & marketing.
• Grow product support revenue, including reimbursable service work.
• Shape long-range business plans and take on additional duties as assigned.

What sets you up for success

• High School Diploma or GED required; Technical Degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in heavy construction equipment management or product support.
• Required: experience with mobile hydraulic and crawler cranes; plus for Manitowoc, National, and Grove familiarity.
• Preferred: scheduling and expediting rental fleet turnaround.
• Exceptional customer service and organization; Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Minimal travel.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This is a full-time position with typical 1st shift working hours. Overtime and weekend work may be possible based on business conditions.
