Registered Nurse ($15k Sign-On Bonus!)

Bonus amount: Up to $20,000 for Registered Nurses with 2 or more consecutive years of RN experience. Up to $10,000 for New Graduate Registered Nurses. Overview Registered Nurse (RN) – Coronary Care Unit (CCU) Location: Central Maine Medical Center, Lewiston, ME Full‑time | Nights | 7 p – 7 a | 12‑hour shifts Job responsibilities include: delivering direct, high‑quality patient care to adults with cardiac conditions in the CCU; utilizing the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to monitor cardiac status, respond to changes in patient condition, and implement evidence‑based interventions; collaborating with physicians and the healthcare team; directing patient and family education; supervising other nursing personnel; and ensuring CCU standards of care, patient safety, and confidentiality are consistently maintained. New Graduate Residency & Training New Grad Residency Program Skills training & ongoing education Career growth opportunities Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care to adults in the CCU, including monitoring cardiac status and implementing interventions. Apply the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Monitor and respond to cardiac monitoring, vital signs, and changes in patient condition. Communicate promptly with physicians and healthcare teams regarding clinical changes, diagnostic results, and symptomatology. Educate patients and families on cardiac disease processes, treatments, and care plans. Supervise and collaborate with other nursing personnel, maintaining CCU standards of care. Document all care, interventions, and patient observations accurately while maintaining patient privacy and HIPAA compliance. Respond effectively to emergencies and rapid changes in patient condition. Qualifications Current and valid state RN license. Current BLS certificate upon hire and ongoing maintenance. Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and ongoing maintenance. Basic arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire. Previous acute care hospital experience preferred.
