Project Manager - VPI

Job Summary The role of the Project Manager is to deliver their portfolio of projects safely, efficiently, and with high-quality. Duties/Responsibilities Deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and with the highest level of safety and quality. Properly plan, execute, and close projects. Lead the multi-discipline project team, ensuring that communication is frequent and complete. Ensure that project decisions are made within the broader context of safety adherence and financial stewardship, and the need to meet customer and quality requirements. Provide support for the construction crews with respect to technical requirements and the management of scope, schedule, and resources. Assist the field operations team in the development and improvement of crews. Provide client management, communication, and support. Provide professional development of Project Engineers and Project Coordinators. Additional duties as required Required Skills/Abilities Experience working with PG&E or other large Electric Utility Companies Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management software (Viewpoint or similar) and Scheduling software (Primavera or similar) Ability to manage simpler projects (single commodity, one customer, self-performed, short duration) Ability to actively manage a portfolio value of $10 million or less Able to communicate effectively at all levels and in all formats Ability to think creatively and be solution focused. Proven organizational tools and methods for ensuring all commitments are met. Must be able to work on W2 Must live in California, driving distance to Concord Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in engineering, project management, business or construction management desired Have 5-8 years of applicable experience Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 10lbs Work at a desk and on computer approximately 6-8 hours per day Perform with frequent interruptions and/or distractions Perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload Uses telephone and email to communicate with vendors, customers, and co-workers +Bonus potential, +100% paid full health benefits for you and your family, generous paid time off, and an employer funded retirement plan.
