Purchasing Agent

Located in: Tulsa, Oklahoma Reports to: Senior Manager of Procurement Collaborates with: Production, Accounting, Shipping, Engineering, Sales Primary Responsibility: As our Purchasing Agent, you'll be the backbone of our supply chain, making sure everything runs smoothly from purchase orders to inventory management. If you've got a knack for procurement and know your way around ERP systems, this could be the gig for you. Get ready to play a key role in our production efficiency and customer satisfaction! What You'll Do: Conduct audits of materials from suppliers when necessary and monitor supplier performance. Maintain supplier contracts and files. Review and approve invoicing from various suppliers and vendors. Purchase raw materials, supplies, and services, negotiating with vendors as needed. Maintain Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and company calendar. Schedule and oversee cycle counts, reviewing and reporting results. Manage inventory records and materials costing, making necessary adjustments or corrections. Communicate with management regarding order fulfillment and vendor invoices. Write purchase orders specifically for Winnipeg, MB operations. Perform other duties as assigned. What Qualifies You: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Minimum of 1 year of experience in purchasing and procurement. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent time management and organizational skills, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in math and analytical skills. Proficient with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). What Makes You Stand Out: Working knowledge of Syspro ERP software desired; background in MRP system preferred. Experience within a manufacturing environment is preferred. Travel Requirements: This position will oversee operations at our Winnipeg, MB plant and will require travel at least twice a year to meet with key suppliers and review pricing.
