We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Agent specializing in outside services for a leading provider in the direct mail and print production industry. This role focuses on sourcing print-related purchases to minimize total cost of ownership, reduce risk, optimize supplier performance, and support business objectives. If you have deep expertise in direct mail, lettershop, print, and fulfillment, this is an opportunity to make a significant impact.
As a Purchasing Agent, you will manage sourcing and procurement for outside print services, ensuring quality, timeliness, and cost efficiency. Requesting and evaluating quotes, reviewing estimates, and finalizing project pricing.

Building and maintaining strategic supplier relationships, including selection, negotiation, and performance evaluation.

Creating purchase orders in ERP systems and managing outsourced services for compliance and quality.

Mentoring team members and providing backup support for other purchasing agents.

7+ years of experience in outside services within direct mail, lettershop, print, or fulfillment.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of direct mail workflow, envelope manufacturing, conventional and digital printing, finishing processes, and lettershop operations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using ERP systems for purchasing.
