These roles are responsible for positioning and capturing major opportunities across our federal client accounts and business operating units (BOUs) within Stantec.As an active partner in Stantec’s collaborative model, the US Federal Growth Leader is an outstanding communicator, business developer, strategic thinker, and works in collaboration with US Federal Account Managers, Business Line Growth Leaders, Business Line Federal Liaisons and other local, regional and business line leadership to develop and lead major opportunities, ensuring a One Stantec approach to the marketplace.The US Federal Growth Leader needs to understand our industry partners and competitors, maintain excellent relationships with the ability to put together teams, and equip them with required resources to succeed.This is an exciting time to join our team and contribute to our growth and success. We value a hybrid work environment that combines in-person collaboration with remote flexibility.Our Nation is our community.Your Key ResponsibilitiesGrowth Strategy / Business Development / Capture Management:Provide capture leadership on multiple federal opportunities to include go/no go leadership, sales budget planning, strategy and win theme development, risk reviews, and proposal support.Develop and execute detailed capture plans to win specific opportunities.Develop collaborative working relationships between account managers and our marketing teams that result in delivery of high-quality proposals.Develop high performing networks of internal and external relationships to expand strategic teaming.Participate in US Federal Strategic Planning representing major funded government programs with the US Federal Team and implement resulting related strategic initiatives.Develop and implement “win” strategies, including client contact, proposal preparation, and preparation of and participation in client interviews.Conduct go/no-go assessments to determine the feasibility of pursuing opportunities.Strategic Thinking:Contribute to the vision and play a key role in supporting the growth of the federal sector.Make decisions using critical thinking, good business sense, and organizational values to make collaborative decisions involving varying levels of risk and ambiguity.Team Leadership and Development:Provide effective capture leadership and business development guidance to Stantec’s federal account managers and federal BOU liaisons.Support Stantec’s Safer Together culture, prioritizing the health and safety of our employees.Demonstrate a commitment to our code of business conduct and ethics policies.Exemplify integrity by treating others fairly, honestly, and respectfully, furthering the integrity of the organization and its relationships of trust with the broader community.Embrace diversity recognizing, valuing, and leveraging the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents of every individual, promoting cross-cultural understanding, fairness, and inclusion throughout our organization and with our clients and third-party organizations.Your Capabilities and CredentialsThe ideal candidate has:Deep understanding of the US federal marketplace and service offerings in the A/E industry and major funding programs and appropriations.Superb client relationship skills and a proven record in winning major A/E type contracts (Brooks Act-SF330s) and/or other major program contracts including Design Build.Proven and demonstratable skills in relationship building, management, influencing change, negotiation and business development.Ability to translate visionary guidance into strategic planning and tactical execution.An ability to both lead and support initiatives and growth within a collaborative framework and operate as a team player that leads by example.Led high-value pursuits/proposals, consistently driving superior outcomes.Advanced communication skills include verbal, written and presentation with the ability to influence, engage stakeholders and foster collaboration across internal and external partners.Adaptability, thriving in dynamic environments, embracing change, advancing continuous improvement initiatives, leading teams through dynamic, fast-paced environments by maintaining pursuit focus that drives wins/results and remaining flexible and resilient.A strong desire to succeed, remains enthusiastic, and possesses the highest degree of integrity.The ability to travel across the US as needed (~40-50%).Education and ExperienceA bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 15 years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.10+ years of experience in the US Federal market with multiple Federal agencies, and existing client relationships within those agencies.Key Performance IndicatorsKPIs may include but are not limited to the following:60% competitive capture rate ($) on strategic pursuits within the federal program.Demonstrated positive collaboration across Stantec based on feedback from internal colleaguesThis description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that may be required of the employee and other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or may be changed at any time with or without notice.About StantecStantec is a global leader in sustainable engineering, architecture, and environmental consulting. We innovate at the intersection of community, creativity, and client relationships to advance communities everywhere, so that together we can redefine what’s possible.Pay Range:• Locations in CO, HI, IL, MD & Various CA, NJ Areas-$177,500.00 - $275,200.00 Annually• Locations in WA, DC & Various CA, MA areas-$190,500.00 - $295,200.00 Annually• Locations in NYC & CA (Bay Area) & NJ (RP)-$203,400.00 - $315,300.00 AnnuallyPay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year.
