Warehouse Associate

Warehouse AssociateXpress Trucking, Inc. is seeking a FULL-TIME Warehouse Associate who can safely and efficiently move freight, stock, or other materials or perform other general labor.Job ResponsibilitiesLoad and unload incoming and outgoing cargo and freight shipments from shipping dock to containers.Arrange freight and cargo for delivery to loading platform.Prepare and examine bills of lading to determine shipping charges and tariffs.Freight inspection, monitor incoming/outgoing freight.Responds professionally to all customer's needs and concerns.Maintains cleanliness of the warehouse by sweeping floor, wiping up spills, and keeping space organized.Responds promptly and professionally to internal staff and customer needs/concerns in a quick and courteous manner and able to bring unresolved issues to management.Back up Small Box Trucker Driver as neededWork together as a team with all departments and offices.Comply with all policies, procedures, safety rules and regulations.Complete all other tasks, duties and errands as assigned.Qualifications and SkillsExperience loading and unloading containersForklift, power tools and other heavy equipment experience preferredBasic math, written and oral communications skillsCross-dock experience preferredExcellent hand, eye and foot coordinationMaintains regular and predictable attendance required.Work overtime as needed.Excellent written and oral communications skills.Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements.Work ActivitiesPerforming General Physical ActivitiesHandling and Moving ObjectsIdentifying Objects, Actions, and EventsControlling Machines and ProcessesOperating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or EquipmentEstablishing and Maintaining Interpersonal RelationshipsEvaluating Information to Determine Compliance with StandardsCommunicating with Supervisors, Peers, or SubordinatesGetting InformationMaking Decisions and Solving ProblemsNote: This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee(s) incumbent in this position.
