President, Architectural Coatings (Relocation - Manassas, VA / DMV)

Purpose of the Role To ensure the assigned reporting Cherry Coatings Office Locations are meeting overall goals and objectives, delivering profit expectations as well as growing and developing staff throughout time. Key Deliverables Know and understand the “why” with City Financials Build & maintain customer relationships Maintain gross margin targets Strategic planning Project financial tracking Field support – problem solving Business forecasting to ensure profitability Vendor relationships and pricing Drive company culture through core values Mentor and develop city leaders (1-1, 555, performance reviews) Quarterly and annual goals Each city visit should entail: Quality customer touch Quality team touch "Focus job" job walk (deep dive at office) Review of focus jobs Review of financials Hot issues Mentoring of city leader Department Scorecard Measurables Gross margin company target Less than 10% outstanding change orders for the region Year-over-year growth (15% revenue while maintaining GM) Talent retention safety recordables Responsibilities Establish & maintain a people-first culture always focused on core values Ensure daily operations of departments consistent with Cherry Coatings guidelines and procedures Understand and ensure reporting managers are meeting the needs of all customers as well as employees. Address satisfaction issues promptly with city leader Ensure management team assesses local market conditions and identifies current and prospective sales opportunities for each city Develop strategic plan, forecasts, financial objectives, and business plans Meet goals and metrics Hold city leader accountable for budget and allocation of funds Bring out the best of region personnel by providing training, coaching, and motivation focused on developing well‑rounded leaders Participate in hiring of core roles Locate areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities Share knowledge with other locations and headquarters on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities, and needs Adhere to high ethical standards and comply with all regulations/applicable laws, employee handbook, partnering with Human Resources Network to improve the presence and reputation of each location in the region and company Stay abreast of competing markets and provide reports on market movement and penetration Control costs to maximize revenue Qualifications Experience in construction 7+ years, 3+ years construction office manager preferred Deep experience in the commercial coatings space Bachelor’s degree in construction or business management preferred; equivalent experience considered Flexible schedule, punctual and able to work 7-4:30; Saturdays as needed Strong work history & reliable transportation #J-18808-Ljbffr Cherry Coatings
