Now Hiring: Journeyman Electrician & Experienced Electrical Helper
J&J Telecom & Electric
We’re hiring for two positions to support our residential and commercial electrical service work. We’re looking for dependable people who take pride in clean, professional work and pay attention to detail.
Journeyman Electrician — $25–$40 per Hour
Seeking a journeyman or master-equivalent electrician with a minimum of 5 years of residential and commercial service experience . Pay is based on experience. This is a 1099 contractor position.
Responsibilities and qualifications:
- Independently install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Follow applicable electrical codes and safety requirements.
- Lead jobs and supervise an electrical helper.
- Review daily job assignments through Jobber.
- Maintain a professional appearance and communicate respectfully with customers.
Experienced Electrical Helper/ Apprentice — $17 - $25 per Hour
Seeking an electrical helper with 1– 4 years of hands-on electrical experience to work alongside our lead electrician.
Responsibilities and qualifications:
- Assist with running conduit, pulling wire, and installing electrical boxes.
- Assist with installing lighting, switches, receptacles, and other equipment under supervision.
- Have familiarity with common electrical tools, materials, and basic installation tasks.
- Follow directions and assist with service calls and repairs.
- Prepare materials and keep tools and work areas organized.
- Work safely and demonstrate a willingness to learn.
Requirements for Both Positions:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Availability Monday through Friday.
