We're seeking a dependable and motivated Furnace Operator to join our weekend night shift team. In this role, you'll operate and monitor industrial furnace equipment used in the heat treatment and processing of precision-manufactured components.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with machine operation, manufacturing, production, or furnace experience who are looking to grow their skills in a stable, safety-focused environment.

What You'll Do

Operate and monitor industrial furnace equipment according to production specifications

Load and unload materials, parts, and production batches safely and efficiently

Follow work instructions and process requirements to ensure product quality

Monitor furnace temperatures, cycle times, and operating conditions

Perform routine inspections and basic equipment checks

Record production data and maintain accurate documentation

Use measuring tools and inspection equipment to verify product quality

Support material handling and production activities as needed

Maintain a clean and organized work area

Follow all Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) policies and PPE requirements

Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production goals

What We're Looking For

Manufacturing, machine operation, furnace operation, or production experience

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to follow written instructions and established procedures

Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment

Dependable attendance and strong work ethic

Ability to work in a team-oriented manufacturing environment

Comfort working around industrial equipment and high-temperature processes

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds independently

Preferred Experience

Furnace operation or heat-treating experience

Manufacturing or production environment experience

Material handling and equipment operation

Quality inspections and documentation

Reading work instructions, specifications, or blueprints

Experience with industrial safety procedures

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Frequent bending, squatting, twisting, and reaching

Ability to lift and move materials throughout the shift

Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment

Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and other protective equipment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clayville, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
