CNC Machine Operator

$21.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm



We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to operate equipment used in the fabrication of metal structures, including steel pipe and plate products. This position works closely with Quality Control and Production Management to ensure high-quality products are manufactured and delivered to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate metal fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, drawings, and schematics.
• Measure and lay out materials accurately using tape measures, levels, squares, and other layout tools.
• Fabricate metal products according to specifications while maintaining quality standards.
• Perform routine machine adjustments and monitor production for accuracy.
• Work collaboratively with Quality Control and Production Management to meet production goals.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications

•  Knowledge/background to program CNC machines is required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience reading blueprints and using layout tools.
• Blueprint reading: 2 years (required)
• Layout tools: 2 years (required)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, drawings, and schematics.
• Proficient in using a tape measure and layout tools, including levels and squares.
• Ability to add and subtract fractions accurately.
• Experience setting up and operating metal fabrication equipment is preferred, including:
• Cutoff saws
• Shears
• Rolls
• Press brakes
• Presses
• Forming machines
• Spinning machines
• Punches used to cut, shape, and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes, and structural components
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds .
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
• Team-oriented with a positive work ethic.
