Accounting ManagerWe are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee and perform daily accounting operations within a dynamic company. In this vital role, you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, support month-end close activities, and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders.Reporting to the CFO, you will manage a small team and drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.ResponsibilitiesOversee daily accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management to ensure accurate financial reporting.Perform month-end and year-end closing activities and support audit preparations to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.Manage account reconciliations, including bank and intercompany accounts, to maintain accurate ledger balances.Coordinate the submission of sales and use tax filings across multiple states, ensuring timely compliance with tax regulations.Assist with financial reporting and cash flow management to support effective decision-making.Maintain fixed assets accounting and oversee lease tracking, reconciliation, and related activities.Collaborate with external auditors, tax agencies, and regulatory bodies to facilitate audits and reporting.Ensure organized financial records and strengthen internal controls to mitigate risks.Drive continuous improvements in internal accounting procedures and workflows.Supervise and support the accounting staff, delegating tasks and providing mentorship.Serve as payroll backup to assist the HR department when needed.Requirements2-5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience within a professional setting.Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute.Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close procedures.Experience with sales and use tax compliance preferred, especially across multiple states.Experience with project, construction, or manufacturing accounting is a plus.Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and external partners.Self-starter with a positive attitude and strong attention to detail.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Advanced MS Excel skills, with experience in MS Access.ERP software experience required.Join a growing organization and contribute your accounting expertise in a pivotal leadership role.
