Senior Billing Specialist

Our client, a leading law firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Billing Specialist to join its Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled legal billing professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys partnering with attorneys to manage complex client billing relationships. As a trusted advisor to attorneys and firm leadership, you will oversee sophisticated billing arrangements, ensure billing accuracy and compliance, and provide exceptional client service while helping drive operational excellence within the billing department. What You'll Do: Manage the full billing cycle for assigned attorneys and clients, including proforma generation, invoice review, edits, and final billing. Prepare and distribute billing proformas, invoices, timecard summaries, and billing-related reports. Ensure timely, accurate, and accepted client invoicing while proactively following up on billing approvals and outstanding issues. Maintain client accounts in accordance with billing agreements, outside counsel guidelines, and alternative fee arrangements. Process electronic invoices (EDI/e-billing) accurately and efficiently. Monitor and follow up on past-due accounts, researching and resolving billing-related issues. What You'll Bring: Minimum 5 years of legal billing experience within a law firm environment. Advanced proficiency with 3E and e-billing platforms. Proven experience managing complex client billing arrangements and high-volume billing portfolios. Strong understanding of outside counsel guidelines, client fee arrangements, and electronic billing requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client-service mindset.
