Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Active Registered Nurse License required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Telemetry remote monitoring experience required Telemetry on-unit monitoring experience preferred Experience with accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management, and starting IVs Background in caring for stroke and neuro patient populations Ability to interpret dysrhythmias Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care in an inpatient department. The nurse will work with a variety of patients with multiple co-morbidities. Specialized care will focus on a stroke and neuro patient population. The nurse-patient ratio will be 1:5 or 1:6. The position requires a flexible approach to scheduling. There is a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences. The candidate must be open to floating as needed. The role includes administering care through various procedures while maintaining safety standards. Isolation precautions and wound care management will be part of the responsibilities. Candidates should be prepared for a pass/fail EKG exam during compliance. Full compliance documentation is required before the start of the position. The environment supports interdisciplinary teams including therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
