Product Engineer (G-Project)

The Product Engineer acts as the key technical interface between customers and the Product & Process Engineering (PCE) team. This role is responsible for managing the full product lifecycle from RFQ to end-of-life while ensuring successful manufacturing execution, product quality, and customer satisfaction. The role also serves as a subject matter expert (SME) on the production floor, working directly with Manufacturing Technicians to support operations, resolve technical issues, and ensure adherence to defined standards and processes. Key Responsibilities Customer & Technical Interface Act as primary technical liaison for assigned customers Translate customer requirements into engineering and manufacturing specifications Ensure timely resolution of technical issues and clear communication across teams Manufacturing Support & SME Role Provide hands‑on technical support to Manufacturing Technicians on the production floor Troubleshoot production issues and support root cause analysis Ensure correct execution of manufacturing processes Standard Work & SOP Ownership Develop, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Train and support technicians on SOP adherence Drive process standardization and continuous improvement Change & Lifecycle Management Manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) during production Own product lifecycle from RFQ through end-of-life Support product introduction, ramp‑up, and phase‑out activities RFQ & Engineering Support Analyze RFQs, drawings, BOMs, and specifications Support quotation preparation and engineering feasibility reviews SAP BOM Management Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Approved Vendor Lists (AVLs) in SAP Ensure BOM accuracy, version control, and ECN updates in SAP Support data integrity for manufacturing and supply chain operations NPI & Production Support Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) and Production Validation Testing (PVT) Coordinate cross‑functional teams (engineering, quality, manufacturing, supply chain) Ensure smooth transition into volume production Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering (electronics preferred) Experience with SMT, PCB assembly, or high‑volume manufacturing Experience with SAP (BOM management preferred) Strong communication and problem‑solving skills Flexible and able to support production environment needs Core Skills Structured and analytical thinking Strong teamwork and communication Familiarity with manufacturing tools (SPC, FMEA, Poka‑Yoke, etc.) Ability to work in fast‑paced production environments #J-18808-Ljbffr
