Schedule

Schedule: Part time. 2 days per week on Monday through Thursday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM

Daily volume: 1 to 8 claimants per day

Position Overview

Provide one time compensation and pension disability examinations for a veteran population. This is an exam only role with no ongoing treatment and no prescribing.

Responsibilities

• Review medical history and complete appropriate disability benefits questionnaires and medical opinions
• Conduct comprehensive medical disability examinations and document findings in the required system
• Comfortable performing sensitive exams for male and female veterans, including PAPs and pelvic exams
• Complete and submit documentation within 24 to 48 hours after the exam

Required Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner
• Current, unrestricted license
• NPI required
• Strong computer skills and ability to complete web based exam forms
• Local or commutable candidate preferred
• Candidates must have at least two years of clinical experience within the past five years to qualify.
