Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Critical Care Float for a travel nursing job in New Orleans, Louisiana.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Critical Care Float\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/14/2026\n Duration: 8 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 14, 2026\n Length: 8 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a float pool position requiring 2 years of experience, Epic charting, and a LA or compact RN license.Details\n \n Float pool position covering all ICUs (MICU, TICU, Neuro ICU, and Burn ICU)\n Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)\n Patient ratio of 1:2\n Every other weekend required\n Holiday coverage required\n No on-call requirements\n Requirements\n \n Active LA RN license or Compact license required at time of consideration\n Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required\n Epic charting experience required\n Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS\n Preferred certifications: CPI and CCRN\n Previous charge nurse experience preferred\n Additional Information\n \n Provide critical care nursing across multiple ICU specialties including cardiovascular, neuro, trauma, and burn units\n Scrub color requirement: navy blue\n Maximum RTO of 5 days strictly enforced\n Local candidates within 75 miles accepted at local rate\n Permanent staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before becoming eligible for travel positions\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-758628.
