Central Sterile Processing Technician (FULL TIME)

We are hiring immediately for full‑time Central Sterile Processing Technician positions at Westchester Medical Center, 100 Woods Road, Valhalla, NY 10595. Applications are accepted only online. Full‑time schedule: 7:00 am–3:00 pm and 3:00 pm–11:00 pm, rotating weekends and holidays. Days may vary. Further details upon interview. Pay: $22.00 per hour. Job Summary Maintains a sterile environment in the clean room by garbing, cleaning the room, and following clean room procedures that align with the facility’s practices or guidelines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Practices efficient use of cleaning techniques, solutions preparation, equipment and tool operation. Performs all decontamination cleaning and project assignments within area of responsibility or as directed by supervisor with high level of consistency, accuracy and reliability. This includes executing cleanroom cleaning SOP’s. Maintains documentation on all activities and frequent (often daily) quality control testing and verifies the efficiency of the work performed. Monitors and maintains the stock of cleanroom garments and cleaning materials when applicable. Monitors and manages contamination sources within the cleanroom environment including materials and personnel. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma, GED preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1–2 years housekeeping or cleaning service experience preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read and comprehend Standard Operating Procedure Documents (SOPs). Work Environment Exposure to chemicals on a constant basis requiring special clothing and/or safety equipment.
