Job Information Job Title: Food Administrator I, CF - Pelican Bay State Prison Salary: $7,546.00 - $9,448.00 per Month Final Filing Date: 10/7/2026 Job Type: Permanent, Full Time Telework: In Office Work Location: Pelican Bay State Prison Job Description and Duties Under the direction of the Correctional Health Services Administrator I/II, the Food Administrator I, CF plans, organizes, and directs all food service and dietary activities in a correctional facility health care program or may work under the direction of a Food Administrator II, CF in a large facility serving 3 meals per day to 500 or more residents. The Food Administrator I, CF works with clinical personnel on nutrition assessments, needs, dietary interventions and strategies, and plans dietary menus per clinical instruction. The Food Administrator I, CF develops, interprets, and applies standards and procedures governing the operation of the food service department; plans menus, estimates food requirements, and directs the preparation and service of food in accordance with the State food control system; inspects food facilities for compliance with sanitary, safety, and housekeeping standards; and plans and conducts In-Service Training (IST) programs for food service staff. Maintains order and supervises the conduct of the incarcerated and protects and maintains the safety of persons and property. Minimum Requirements

Additional Requirements Must show proof of being a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietic Association. If using education to meet minimum qualifications, must provide a copy of diploma/degree and/or unofficial/informal transcripts for verification. Official transcripts may be required upon appointment. Tuberculosis (TB) testing is required for candidates new to CCHCS prior to appointment followed by department annual TB testing/ evaluation thereafter.
