MD Imaging- Poughkeepsie, NY is looking for a part-time Patient Coordinator!

Job Summary

The Patient Registrar will greet, register, and schedule patients as well as perform other clerical duties. The ideal candidate will have a medical background.

Essential Functions of a Patient Registrar

• Register patients at the front desk.
• Answer incoming calls and make outgoing calls to complete appointment scheduling, cancellation, and confirmation requests.
• Provide the first available appointment by matching patient preferences with specific scheduling guidelines.  
• Collect and coordinate accurate basic registration, demographic, and insurance information.
• Process multi-channel messages related to patient and physician requests.
• Functions as a team member to organize and prioritize responsibilities to complete daily work assignments.

E ducation and Experience

• High School degree or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of prior medical coordination or similar experience preferred.

• Monday 3:30p-7p, Tuesday 3:30p-9p, Wednesday 3:30p-7p, Friday 3:30p-7p, Saturday 7:30a-1p
