Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist, supporting students in a school-based setting near Hemet, CA. This contract position begins August 10, 2026, and runs through December 2026, covering a maternity leave with possible—but not guaranteed—extension for the full academic year. You’ll provide vital communication interventions across three medically fragile classrooms within a supportive environment alongside another SLP and a dedicated SLPA.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid California SLP license and ASHA CCC required
• Previous school-based experience, especially with medically fragile or high-needs student populations
• Demonstrated expertise using AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and caregivers
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech and language therapy for students with a variety of complex needs, focusing on those requiring assistive communication technologies
• Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans, documenting progress and updating goals as needed
• Partner with classroom staff, nursing, and related services to maximize student participation and communication outcomes
• Facilitate staff and family training on AAC device implementation and progress strategies
• Maintain required records, reports, and compliance documentation for school and district
