We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. This role is based in our Montebello headquarters in Rockland County, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Review & maintain schedules: AR (Contract 606), prepaids, accruals, cash, inter-company loan, etc.
- Multi-entity / currency & consolidation
- Own month end and ensure completion in an accurate and timely manner.
- Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.
- Work with the Controller and external auditors to complete the audit process.
- Maintain the general ledger and perform other accounting duties as assigned.
- Ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP requirements.
- Protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or relevant
- 3 -5 years' experience in accounting/finance
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month end close process
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Experience working in a SaaS business and with NetSuite preferred
- CPA preferred
