Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Travel Occupational Therapist Opportunity in Moore, OK

Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist in Moore, OK. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to help patients in a skilled nursing setting regain or improve daily living skills following injury, illness, or disability. This role requires adherence to professional practice acts and clinical documentation standards while contributing to interdisciplinary care and patient-centered outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
• Active Oklahoma Occupational Therapy license required at time of submission and to start the assignment.
• Minimum 1 year of OT clinical experience required.
• Experience in Long Term Care (LTC) or inpatient rehab settings required.
• Ability to perform standardized assessments, ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, and use of assistive devices per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• Documented ability to accurately record treatment minutes and maintain clinical records in an electronic documentation system.
• Resume, skills checklist within 1 year, and 01 reference required at time of submission.
• New graduates considered only if they have Level II experience beyond Level I observation.

Preferred Qualifications

• BLS certification from AHA or ARC preferred.
• Experience supervising OT assistants, rehabilitation aides, or students preferred.

Assignment Details

• M-F, 8 hour days.
• Start time must be consistent and communicated with Director of Rehab. Start time should be before 6:00 AM and no later than 10:00 AM.
• No weekend requirement.

Impacting Patient Care

Provide skilled, medically necessary occupational therapy services for residents with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders. Evaluate and document patient progress, adjust treatment plans per outcomes, participate in care conferences and utilization review meetings, and deliver discharge summaries per regulatory requirements. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members and provide consultation to families and caregivers. Adhere to NBCOT and state practice acts during professional practice.
