Senior Cloud Engineer

Stand Together is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to lead the technical strategy and execution of our cloud infrastructure. The role will build self‑service platforms that meet the development and operational needs of application teams and drive DevOps adoption throughout the community. This position can be on‑site in Arlington, VA, hybrid, or remote. How You Will Contribute Lead the collaborative design and implementation of self‑service platforms encompassing development, runtime, and observability tools for cloud applications and infrastructure. Work with application teams to build operational expertise and self‑sufficiency. Work with infosec teams to integrate DevSecOps capabilities into the pipeline. Research new technologies and promising opportunities. Lead the execution of work following agile principles. What You Will Bring At least 5 years of experience in technical leadership roles creating resilient, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure that connects business objectives, consumer requirements, and technical capabilities. At least 5 years of AWS‑centric cloud engineering experience, including development tools, configuration and secret management, CI/CD, IaC, compute, serverless, clustering and load balancing, storage and databases, observability, monitoring, and alerting. Experience building self‑service platforms and automation to reduce cognitive load and drive innovation. Experience building automation and tooling for cost accounting and analysis. Experience with application security engineering and DevSecOps. Experience with AI infrastructure and context engineering. Demonstrated expertise with PHP, JavaScript, Python, and SQL. Strong documentation, testing, and time‑management skills. Strong work ethic and sense of accountability.
