We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Automation Technician with experience in troubleshooting, installation and maintenance of automated systems within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Location: Sacramento, CA
Pay rate: $70-90K
Direct hire opportunity
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot & maintain automation systems for pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging processes
Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems
Support equipment qualification activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) and validation documentation
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as GMP, FDA, and 21 CFR Part 11
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and engineering
Maintain and update automation documentation, including SOPs and technical manuals
Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize system performance and reduce downtime
Required Qualifications
HS or Associates Degree in Engineering or graduate from trade school.
4+ years of experience in GMP regulated environment.
Hands-on experience with troubleshoot PLC (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
