Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (19:00–07:30) | 13–26 Weeks | 36 or 48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary and interdisciplinary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
• Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and maintain professional accountability
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable standards
• Float to similar or lower acuity units as needed based on facility requirements
• Function within the scope of nursing practice consistent with the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and established facility guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license; must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently hold Missouri RN licensure
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Flu vaccination or facility-approved exemption required November 1 through April 1
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Ability to meet physical demands including standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance; push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Experience caring for patients with post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities
