Job DescriptionJob Summary:The Sr. Manager, Social Media, Partnerships & Experiential leads Walgreens' organic social media, influencer and creator marketing, and experiential marketing strategies to build brand affinity, deepen customer engagement, and drive business growth. This role identifies emerging consumer behaviors, platform trends, and cultural moments, translating insights into impactful content, partnerships, and experiences that connect Walgreens with customers in meaningful ways. This leader partners closely with Creative, Brand & Retail Marketing, Media, Marketing Operations, Digital, Loyalty, Merchandising, PR, and business stakeholders to develop and execute integrated marketing programs. The role oversees content strategy, creative concept development, and production while championing innovative approaches that keep Walgreens connected to evolving customer interests, communities, and conversations. #LI-NL1Key Focus:Lead enterprise organic social media strategy, content planning, channel governance, and performance optimization to drive engagement, brand affinity, and business impact.Develop social-first content strategies and partner with Creative, agencies, creators, and production partners on content strategy, concept development, and execution.Lead influencer and creator marketing strategies that expand reach, strengthen brand affinity, and build meaningful consumer connections.Develop and execute experiential marketing programs that bring the Walgreens brand to life through engaging customer experiences and cultural moments.Identify emerging consumer behaviors, platform trends, and cultural opportunities, translating insights into innovative marketing strategies, content, partnerships, and activations.Partner with Brand & Retail Marketing, Media, Digital, Loyalty, Creative, PR, agency partners, and business stakeholders to integrate social, creator, and experiential channels into broader marketing strategies and campaigns.Leverage consumer insights, analytics, and performance metrics to optimize strategies, drive innovation, and identify new opportunities for growth.Job Responsibilities:Partners with the Marketing Director in determining and implementing the strategy across the organization.Partners with the management team to identify, develop, and implement appropriate approaches, processes, and tools that elevate the marketing group.Identifies, evaluates and recommends marketing opportunities consistent with business objectives; provides marketing support to throughout the organization. Works to identify and develop marketing strategies and programs in collaboration with business team. Communicates new ideas to director.Delivers presentations and provides reports for the business to provide marketing information which may include marketing trends, competition, new products, and pricing.Works with external vendors and third parties to develop and maintain positive relationships. Walgreens has approximately 220,000 team members, including nearly 90,000 healthcare service providers, and is committed to being the first choice for pharmacy, retail and health services, building trusted relationships that create healthier futures for customers, patients, team members and communities.External Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of marketing or advertising experience; OR, a High School/GED and at least 7 years of marketing or advertising experience.Experience using tools, techniques for collecting, collating and analyzing information about existing or potential markets and market needs.At least 2 years of experience of cross functional team leadershipExperience with project management (for example: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).Experience with Marketing Strategy development.Experience with MS Office Suite.At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership.Willing to travel up to 15% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).Preferred Qualifications8+ years of experience in social media, influencer marketing, creator marketing, experiential marketing, brand marketing, or integrated marketing.Proven success developing and executing social, content, creator, or experiential strategies for consumer-facing brands.Deep understanding of social platforms, creator ecosystems, consumer behavior, emerging trends, and modern marketing best practices.Experience leading content strategy, creative concept development, and production through agencies, creators, and cross-functional partners.Demonstrated ability to identify emerging trends, cultural moments, and audience insights and translate them into impactful content, experiences, partnerships, and marketing strategies.Experience developing integrated campaigns across multiple marketing channels and stakeholder groups.Strong strategic thinking, creative judgment, storytelling, and analytical capabilities.Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.Experience managing agency relationships, external partners, and marketing budgets.We will consider employment of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.The Salary below is being provided to promote pay transparency and equal employment opportunities at Walgreens.
