Analyst - Consumer & Retail Investment Banking (Class of 2027)

Cantor Fitzgerald & Co., a 79‑year‑old private partnership with over 16,000 employees, is seeking bright, motivated undergraduates to join its Consumer & Retail Investment Banking group. As a Class of 2027 Analyst you will work alongside senior bankers on a variety of transactions—including M&A, equity and debt financings, SPACs, and PIPEs—while gaining deep exposure to the consumer and retail sectors and the firm’s innovative technology platform.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed financial models for mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising transactions.
• Prepare client‑facing pitch books, presentations, and marketing materials.
• Conduct industry, market, and competitive research specific to consumer and retail companies.
• Assist in the execution of due diligence, valuation, and financial analysis for live deals.
• Support senior bankers in client meetings, conference calls, and deal negotiations.
• Create and update internal tracking tools and deal pipelines.
• Analyze macro‑economic and sector trends to generate actionable insights for clients.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including Fixed Income, Equity Capital Markets, and Technology groups.
• Participate in internal training programs and mentorship initiatives.
• Contribute to the development of proprietary data sets and analytical tools.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; graduation in 2027.
• Strong academic record (minimum 3.5 GPA or equivalent).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling techniques.
• Demonstrated interest in consumer and retail industries through coursework, internships, or extracurricular activities.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work long hours in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
• Self‑starter attitude with a high degree of initiative and curiosity.
• Experience with Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ, or similar data platforms is a plus.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Salary - $100,000 - $125,000 + Discretioanry Bonus
