This role owns the translation of complex SaaS contracts into accurate, timely, and compliant billing outcomes, while also overseeing collections and ensuring efficient cash realization. You will partner closely with RevOps, Deal Desk, Sales and Finance leadership to ensure billing processes are scalable, audit-ready, and aligned with business growth. This role requires a balance of hands-on operational execution, strong judgement, and process ownership, with a focus on automation, continuous improvement, and cross-functional alignment.Please Note: this role requires working from the Recorded Future office in Boston, MA at least 2 days per weekWhat You'll Do:Billing Operations & CollectionsOwn global billing operations, ensuring accurate and timely invoice generation aligned with contract terms, pricing structures, and booking policiesManage the end-to-end invoicing lifecycle post-Closed Won, including billing setup, validation, and deliveryEnsure alignment across Salesforce, contract terms, and NetSuite to minimize downstream errors and revenue impactServe as the primary escalation point for complex billing issues, disputes, and exceptionsLead collections processes, including AR aging, follow-ups, and dispute resolutionMonitor and drive performance against key metrics such as DSO, past due balances, and collection effectivenessEnsure timely and accurate cash application and reconciliationProcess Ownership & OptimizationOwn and continuously improve billing and AR processes to driving scalability and efficiencyIdentify and implement automation opportunities across systems and workflowsStandardize processes across regions, entities, and customer segmentsCross-functional PartnershipsPartner with Deal Desk and RevOps to a seamless transition from deal structure to billing executionPartner with Sales and customer stakeholders to resolve payment delays and escalationsCollaborate with Revenue Accounting to ensure alignment with revenue recognition requirements and audit standardsControls, Compliance & AuditEnsure billing and AR processes are SOX-compliant and audit-readyOwn execution and documentation of key billing and AR controlsSupport external audits, including documentation, walkthroughs, and issue resolutionMaintain compliance with global tax, invoicing, and regulatory requirementsTeam LeadershipLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Global Billing Operations teamEstablish clear goals, priorities, and performance expectationsDrive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer focusWhat You'll Bring:Required8+ years of experience in billing operations or finance operations, preferably in SaaS or technology3+ years of people management experienceStrong Order to Cash experienceStrong experience with NetSuite and SalesforceDeep understanding of billing processes, invoicing structures, and collections workflowsExperience operating in a high-growth, complex deal environmentExperience with automation, AI, or process improvement initiativesStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsPreferredFamiliarity with ASC 606 and revenue recognition considerationsExperience with marketplace billing (AWS, Azure) and third-party invoicing tools (e.g., Coupa, Ariba)Exposure to Government portal WAAF, including tax and multi-entity environmentsThe base salary range for this full-time position is $92,000-$137,500. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The salary displayed reflects the range for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by state, work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and medical, dental, vision, life insurance and 401K.
