Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students for the 26/27 school year as a dedicated paraprofessional near the Scranton, PA area! This full-time, onsite position offers two openings, each focused on providing one-on-one support to students within a school setting. As a key part of the educational team, you’ll have the chance to make a significant impact on the academic and personal growth of a child during a formative stage of learning.

What you’ll bring:

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional, ideally within a school or pediatric environment
• Understanding of the needs and challenges of 1:1 support for students
• Strong communication skills to collaborate closely with teachers and related service providers
• Patience, adaptability, and a positive, encouraging attitude
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

What you’ll do:

• Work one-on-one with an assigned student, providing tailored academic and behavioral support throughout the school day
• Assist classroom teachers in implementing individualized educational plans (IEPs)
• Encourage student engagement, participation, and independence
• Support with classroom management and assist with daily routines as needed
• Communicate effectively with education staff, parents, and administrators regarding student progress
• Help facilitate a positive, nurturing atmosphere where every student can thrive
