Handyman / Maintenance Technician (Part-Time or Full-Time)Real Property Management Ventura County is seeking a dependable, motivated, and skilled Handyman / Maintenance Technician to support our growing portfolio of residential rental properties throughout Ventura County. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, takes pride in quality workmanship, communicates professionally, and can work independently. We are open to both part-time and full-time candidates based on experience, availability, and workload demands.This position will initially be engaged as an Independent Contractor during a probationary evaluation period. Upon successful completion, there may be an opportunity for transition into a regular employee position.Responsibilities:Complete residential maintenance and repair work orders as assignedPerform basic plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, appliance, and general repair workDiagnose maintenance issues and recommend appropriate solutionsComplete work orders efficiently and professionallyCommunicate effectively with tenants, vendors, and office staffDocument completed work with clear before-and-after photosGenerate invoices and submit required job documentation promptlyComplete work orders, upload photos, and provide updates through AppFolioRespond to occasional after-hours emergency maintenance callsAssist with property turnovers, inspections, and preventative maintenance projectsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:2+ years of handyman, maintenance, construction, or related experience preferredStrong knowledge of residential maintenance and repairsAbility to work independently and manage multiple assignmentsExcellent communication and customer service skillsValid California driver's license and reliable transportationAbility to lift 50+ pounds and work indoors and outdoorsReliable, organized, and self-motivatedMust provide own tools necessary to perform daily maintenance functionsMust own a smartphone and be comfortable using AppFolio and other mobile applications to receive work orders, upload photos, communicate job status, and submit invoicesAbility to generate invoices, upload photos, and manage work orders electronicallyProperty management maintenance experience is a plusCompensation & Benefits:Competitive pay based on experiencePart-time and full-time opportunities availableConsistent year-round workFlexible schedulingOpportunity for advancement into a long-term positionSupportive and growing team environmentIf you are dependable, take pride in your work, communicate well, and can professionally document your work through mobile technology, we'd love to hear from you.
