Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful difference in students’ lives providing per diem support as a Special Education Teacher in the New Berlin, WI area. This contract position is ideal for educators passionate about delivering personalized instruction in reading and math to learners with diverse needs. Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification in Wisconsin
- Experience teaching or supporting students with IEPs
- Strong background in reading and math instructional strategies
- Adaptable and patient approach, able to modify lessons for individual student needs
- Excellent collaboration skills for working alongside fellow teachers, specialists, and families
- Solid communication abilities, both written and verbal
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, small-group or one-on-one instruction focused on reading and math interventions
- Develop and implement tailored lessons that address students' individual education plans
- Track and document student progress, maintaining compliance with state and federal special education requirements
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and related service providers to facilitate inclusive learning
- Participate in team meetings, sharing insights and recommendations for student support
- Cultivate a positive, nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages growth and participation
