Behavior Intervention Specialist

Starting Pay Range $19.00 - $22.00 - Hourly Depending on experience Responsibilities Provide direct support and care to students. Intervene with students’ behavioral and emotional concerns. Support students using principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Support students in improving their communication skills, social skills, school readiness, and self‑management skills. Learn specialized behavior techniques and implement behavioral strategies under supervisor guidance. Work collaboratively with students’ families, teachers, and other professionals. Maintain records and documentation of student progress and adhere to prescribed behavioral plans. Attend required training and staff meetings. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to connect with students. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Working knowledge of office equipment, technology, and software such as Microsoft Office or Google Suite. Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision. Ability to exercise reasonable judgment and maintain confidentiality. Ability to travel to various locations. Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Special Education, General Education or a related field is preferred. At least 1 year of experience working with students is preferred.
