## Behavior Intervention SpecialistApplylocations: Pasadena, CAtime type: Part timeposted on: Posted 3 Days Agojob requisition id: R016430**Starting Pay Range**$19.00 - $22.00 - Hourly*Depending on experience***Job Description:******Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:***** Provide direct support and care to students.* Responsible for intervening with students’ behavioral and emotional concerns.* Support the students using principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).* Support students in improving their communication skills, social skills, school readiness and self-management skills.* Learn specialized behavior techniques and implement behavioral strategies under the guidance of the supervisor.* Work collaboratively with the students’ families, teachers, and other professionals.* Maintain records and documentation of student progress and adhere to prescribed behavioral plans.* Attend required training and staff meetings.****Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:***** Ability to connect with students.* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.* Working knowledge of office equipment, technology, and softwares such as Microsoft Office or Google Suite.* Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision.* Ability to exercise reasonable judgment and maintain confidentiality.* Ability to travel to various locations.****Education and Experience:***** High School Diploma or GED required.* Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Special Education, General Education or a related field is preferred.* At least 1 year of experience working with students is preferred.* Working towards ABA, BIS, or RBT Certification is a plus.\*The specific statements shown in each section of this description are not intended to be all inclusive.
