About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 hours Experience: Critical care experience preferred License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred Must-Have: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred Acute care facility experience preferred Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion. Employs independent judgment in patient care. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain desired outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and promotes health in a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for patients or their situations. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure safe and humane care. Provides educational opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly communicates health information to patients and treatment teams. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and well-being of all associates and patients. Requires all associates to receive all necessary vaccinations as a condition of employment where applicable.
