About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Active Registered Nurse license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Patient ratio experience of 5:1 Description: Start date within the next 3-5 weeks preferred. Two years of prior travel experience is required. Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. The daily census is approximately 17 patients. The unit consists of 20 beds. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Accepts all medical-surgical diagnoses, excluding certain acute conditions. Candidates must be available to complete necessary lab items within 72 hours of accepting the offer. Experience with specific charting systems is preferred. Travel experience is strongly preferred. Clinicians should avoid any substances that may result in a positive drug screen upon arrival. Local candidates within a specified radius are not accepted. Previous permanent staff must have been gone for one year to return as a traveler. Modules are non-billable and factored into the needs-based orientation. Average completion time for modules is 6-8 hours.
