Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Opportunities are available in elementary, middle, and high schools, supporting students in both general education and specialized SPED classrooms. Key Qualifications:

• Current Missouri Substitute Certificate listed on the DESE website, or completion of the ParaPro exam with supporting transcripts
• Experience assisting students with behavioral needs, including toileting and personal care
• Ability to remain flexible and float between assignments as needed across K-12 settings
• Comfort collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and adapting to classroom dynamics
• Previous classroom or special education experience is beneficial

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support certified educators in delivering instructional activities and reinforcing learning objectives
• Provide individualized or small-group assistance to students in SPED and general classrooms
• Assist students with personal care needs, including hygiene, toileting, and changing as required
• Implement behavior strategies under the direction of teaching and therapeutic staff
• Adapt to various school environments while building positive rapport with students and colleagues

Details:

• School year contract: August 25th – May 28th
• Schedule options: Middle (7:00-2:30), High (7:30-3:00), Elementary (8:30-4:00 or 9:00-4:30)
• Pay: $20.00 per hour
• Openings may be 1:1 support or general classroom assistance; preferences considered
