The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist is a full-time, primarily work-from-home role for someone based in the Charlotte, NC metro area . While most day-to-day work will be performed remotely, this position will require periodic in-person presence at WorkWell’s Charlotte office for candidate interviews, employee engagement activities, team meetings, company offsites, and other business needs. This role will help build and lead a proactive talent acquisition capability that supports WorkWell’s continued growth. The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist will own the full recruiting lifecycle—from understanding upcoming talent needs and developing sourcing strategies through candidate engagement, assessment, interview coordination, offer management, and transition into the organization. Because WorkWell operates in a consulting environment, recruiting here goes beyond filling traditional corporate openings. This individual will build and maintain strong pipelines of talent across WorkWell’s priority consulting capabilities, developing relationships with exceptional professionals before an immediate opportunity necessarily exists. The role will support hiring across both company and client-facing consulting positions , including employee and contingent talent needs. The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist will partner closely with hiring managers, business leaders, and the People & HR Lead to anticipate workforce needs, provide talent-market insights, strengthen hiring practices, and create a consistent, high-quality candidate experience. The role will also have an important connection to retention and quality of hire —helping WorkWell understand what happens after talent joins the organization and using those insights to continuously improve recruiting and talent decisions. Key Responsibilities. Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including intake, sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, offer management, and transition into onboarding. Partner with hiring managers and business leaders to understand current and anticipated talent needs and translate them into effective recruiting strategies. Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines across WorkWell’s priority consulting and corporate capabilities. Source and engage passive candidates through professional networks, referrals, digital platforms, and other targeted channels. Support recruiting across both W-2 employees and contingent/contract consulting talent . Advise leaders on candidate availability, compensation expectations, talent-market trends, and recruiting challenges. Develop structured interview and candidate-assessment approaches and help managers strengthen their interviewing and selection practices. Create a consistent, personalized, and high-quality candidate experience from initial outreach through offer acceptance. Partner with Marketing and leadership to strengthen WorkWell’s employer brand and talent-market presence. Track recruiting metrics including pipeline strength, source effectiveness, time to fill, candidate conversion, offer acceptance, and quality of hire. Partner with People & HR to monitor early-tenure retention, employee feedback, and hiring outcomes and use those insights to continually improve recruiting practices. Support workforce planning by identifying difficult-to-source capabilities and building talent relationships before demand becomes immediate. Continuously evaluate and improve recruiting processes, tools, technology, and candidate communications. Qualifications Strong full-cycle recruiting experience, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, candidate assessment, selection, and offer management. Demonstrated ability to proactively source and engage passive candidates rather than relying primarily on inbound applicants. Experience partnering directly with hiring managers and senior business leaders to define talent needs and drive hiring decisions. Strong interviewing and candidate-assessment skills, including experience developing structured and effective interview approaches. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence across multiple levels of an organization. Experience building and maintaining long-term candidate pipelines and professional networks. Comfort using recruiting data and metrics to identify trends, evaluate effectiveness, and improve hiring outcomes. Experience with applicant tracking systems and other recruiting or HR technologies. Experience recruiting within consulting, professional services, staffing, or another project-based environment is strongly preferred . Experience recruiting both employees and contingent/contract talent is preferred. An understanding of employee retention, quality of hire, onboarding, or early-tenure employee experience is a plus.
