We are seeking a mid- to senior-level IP Associate with a background in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering to drive patent strategy for global innovators. This role offers a clear pathway for professional growth, providing opportunities to expand into licensing and high-level litigation.Key Responsibilities:Innovation Partnership: Interview inventors to translate complex technical breakthroughs into robust patent applications.Global Prosecution: Manage all stages of U.S. and foreign patent prosecution, including ex parte appeals.Strategic Analysis: Conduct validity, infringement, and freedom-to-operate studies, and draft formal legal opinion letters.Full-Spectrum IP Counsel: Provide guidance on patent matters, including foundational licensing, trademark, and copyright issues.Collaboration: Partner with senior stakeholders and support staff to ensure seamless case management and client delivery.Knowledge Leadership: Stay ahead of evolving IP laws and contribute to the firm's internal technical knowledge base.Qualifications:Experience: 7 years of dedicated patent prosecution experience.Education: JD from an accredited law school and a technical background (BS or MS preferred).Technical Expertise: What is your specialty?
