Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Manager, Optimization to join our Member and Provider Optimization team. We are the first health insurance company built around a full‑stack technology platform and a relentless focus on serving our members. About the Role The Manager, Optimization is responsible for working cross‑functionally with internal and external Oscar stakeholders and representing the needs and interests of the department in company‑wide initiatives. The Optimization Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and executing strategies to improve performance, efficiency, and outcomes across key business processes or systems. This role involves cross‑functional collaboration, data‑driven analysis, and strategic thinking to ensure continuous improvement and optimal resource utilization. You will report into the Associate Director, MPSO – Optimization. Work Location This position is based in our Tempe, AZ office, requiring a hybrid work schedule with 3 days of in‑office work per week. Thursdays are a required in‑office day for team meetings and events, while your other two office days are flexible to suit your schedule. Pay and Benefits Base pay: $105,818.40 – $138,886.65 per year. Employees are also eligible for benefits including unlimited vacation, annual performance bonuses, medical, dental, vision benefits, 11 paid holidays, paid sick time, paid parental leave, 401(k) plan participation, life and disability insurance, and paid wellness time and reimbursements. Responsibilities Lead end‑to‑end management of cross‑functional implementations/projects, including project plan creation, stakeholder engagement, managing cross‑functional relationships to drive collaboration, edge‑case mitigation, and on‑time completion. Evaluate overall departmental performance by creating, gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics, as well as assisting in the development of departmental metrics and implementation of mitigation strategies. Collaboratively work with all relevant internal and external stakeholder groups to formulate proactive implementation, communications, and program strategies for successful change management and risk mitigation initiatives. May oversee team members directly and/or mentor team members and promote colleagues' growth and professional development. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Other duties as assigned. Requirements 4+ years of experience in program management. 3+ years of experience delivering projects/programs. Bonus Points Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements in programs. Experience/background in a fast‑paced operations environment. Successfully executed enterprise‑wide initiatives: defined project plans, coordinated resources, managed implementation activities, and developed processes associated with program rollout and ongoing support. Master's Degree. PMP or other program management certifications. Lean/Six Sigma certifications. Healthcare experience (Health Insurance, Health Systems, or Healthcare Consulting).
