Digital Print Press Operator

Work Location: ​1701 Northwind Parkway Hobart, IN 46342​
Hours: 7am - 3:30pm, with expected additional OT hours including weekends
Pay: Starting at $22.00 based on skills and experience

What we are looking for:
The Large Format Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining oversized digital printing equipment to produce high-quality graphics, banners, signs, and point-of-purchase displays. This role requires technical precision, strong color vision, and meticulous attention to detail to ensure client specifications are met on a wide variety of rigid and flexible substrates. In this role, the operator will be responsible for running Durst, Vutek , and HP Indigo equipment.

What you will be doing:

• Operate large format digital printing presses while adhering to production schedules.
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on printing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Review job specifications and make necessary adjustments to color profiles, resolutions, and layouts before printing.
• Set up and configure machines for different substrates and print jobs.
• Monitor print quality throughout the printing process and make real-time adjustments as necessary.
• Ensure all printed materials meet quality standards and customer specifications before delivery.
• Keep accurate records of production runs, material usage, and any issues encountered during the printing process.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Minimum of 2 year’s experience in large format and or digital printing environment
• Experience with running Durst, Vutek, and HP Indigo equipment is highly preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of Large Format Printing Substrates and detailed Large Format Press Maintenance / operations knowledge and skills.
• Effective process management skills, excellent communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to document regular activities and e-mail correspondence.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• High School Diploma or GED required

Supervisory Responsibilities : None

Work Environment : Position operates in a regulated manufacturing print/mail production facility

Physical Demands:

• Stand and walk for up to 12 hours, with frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
• Perform repetitive motions in a fast-paced production environment

Security Clearance : Amsive is a Federal Contractor, and this position may require government security clearance for certain projects.
