Head of Finance | High-Growth FinTech | Hybrid | New York We're partnering with a high-growth fintech that's building next-generation financial infrastructure. Following significant growth, the business is looking to appoint a Head of Finance to lead financial strategy, strengthen operational finance and build the foundations for its next stage of scale. Reporting directly to the executive team, you'll play a highly strategic role while remaining hands-on across finance operations. You'll own the financial roadmap, capital planning, financial reporting and controls, while building the systems, processes and team required to support a rapidly growing global business. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys operating in fast-paced environments, partnering with senior leadership and building a finance function that can scale alongside the business. Key Responsibilities Lead the company's financial strategy, long-term planning and capital allocation, partnering closely with the executive leadership team. Own treasury management, cash planning and liquidity across a high-growth fintech environment. Build and strengthen financial reporting, accounting policies, governance and internal controls. Deliver accurate management reporting, board reporting and financial insights to support strategic decision-making. Develop sophisticated financial models to support growth initiatives, fundraising, commercial decisions and business planning. Design and implement scalable finance systems, reporting infrastructure and automation initiatives. Oversee accounting, tax, audit and compliance, ensuring the business remains audit-ready as it scales. Partner cross-functionally with Product, Operations, Legal and Commercial teams on strategic projects and business initiatives. Build, mentor and develop a high-performing finance function capable of supporting future growth. Evaluate opportunities to improve finance operations through automation, AI and modern finance technology. Candidate Profile 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience within high-growth fintech, financial services or technology businesses. Proven experience building or scaling finance functions in rapidly growing organisations. Strong background across strategic finance, FP&A, treasury, financial reporting and commercial finance. Experience partnering directly with founders, CEOs, CFOs and executive leadership teams. Excellent financial modelling, forecasting and business planning skills. Strong understanding of financial controls, governance and scalable finance infrastructure. Experience leading audit, tax and external stakeholder relationships. Track record of building, mentoring and developing finance teams. Comfortable operating strategically while remaining hands-on where required. Strong communicator with the ability to present financial insights to executives, investors and board-level stakeholders. Preferred Experience Experience within fintech, payments, lending, wealthtech, capital markets, financial infrastructure or digital assets. Exposure to treasury management, fundraising or capital markets activities. Experience implementing finance systems, automation or AI-enabled finance processes.
