Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Current certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience working with high school students preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to effectively manage and engage a diverse classroom
• Comfortable supervising and guiding paraprofessional staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and group instruction to a caseload of 10 students with special needs
• Develop and implement adapted lesson plans and individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals to support student learning and classroom management
• Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and IEP documentation
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student growth and participation
• Communicate regularly with families and colleagues to ensure student success
