Devon Seafood + Steak is an upscale dining establishment offering a range of seafood, premium steaks, award‑winning wines, and handcrafted cocktails. This full‑time team member is responsible for preparing all food items according to prep sheets and standardized recipes with speed and consistency of quality. Job Duties Preparing all food items according to prep sheets and standardized recipes with speed and consistency of quality. Cooking, plating, garnishing, and expediting food. Maintaining communication with front‑of‑house staff to ensure timely service to guests. Helping to develop daily specials. Assisting with training. Ensuring all work areas remain clean and organized. Ensuring all food products are stored properly. Assisting the Kitchen Manager with maintaining accurate inventory levels. Completing other duties as assigned. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have a minimum of two years industry experience as a cook. Must exhibit proper food‑handling procedures in accordance with Pennsylvania regulations and obtain ServSafe certification within 90 days. Must maintain certification as a Certified Trainer and/or obtain certification within 90 days. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Average to above average knife skills. Demonstrates sound decision making (no disciplinary actions in the past 6 months). Can follow and troubleshoot recipes/menu items with little or no difficulty. Efficiently sets up and maintains a workstation. Demonstrates outlet style of cuisine through food tasting and preparation. Handles average amounts of prep work. Works all stations with minimal assistance. Maintains a supportive attitude, skill, speed, and cleanliness. Job Demands Flexible schedule required with availability for any shift, including days, evenings, split shifts, weekends, and holidays. Must meet a minimum of 1,950 hours annually (average 37.5 hours per week). Physical requirements include standing for long periods and ability to lift at least 40 pounds. Must be comfortable working in temperature variations. Proper footwear must be provided by employee.
