Fire Protection Engineer

Fire Protection Engineering · Buildings · Cities & Places Pay: $45.77- $83.10 per hour DOE We’re looking for an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to join a robust team of licensed engineers delivering challenging and engaging building projects across multiple markets — locally, nationally, and globally. You'll direct design staff to produce drawings and calculations for fire sprinkler systems, suppression systems, fire pumps, fire alarm and mass notification, and building/life safety code analysis. What you’ll do Direct design staff to produce drawings and calculations for fire sprinkler, suppression, fire pump, and fire alarm systems Perform building and life safety code analysis across diverse project types and markets Collaborate with experienced engineers and designers on high-profile building projects Contribute to project coordination, hydraulic calculations, and computer-assisted engineering Support teams across local, national, and international projects with approximately 10–15% travel What you need Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Safety Technology, or related field 10+ years of related professional experience Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship Nice to have PE license in any U.S. state with fire protection engineering examination passed Familiarity with NFPA and ICC codes and standards Experience with fire sprinkler, suppression, and alarm system layout using hydraulic calculation programs Willingness to travel to job sites globally (est. 10–15%) #J-18808-Ljbffr HKA Enterprises
