Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Construction

Location: Lakewood Ranch, FL, US Salary: $75,000 - $95,000 per year Job Details We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Project Manager to join our Commercial Construction team. This is a great opportunity to work on a diverse range of high‑profile commercial projects. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting the Project Manager, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. Responsibilities Assist the Project Manager in all aspects of the project life cycle, from initial planning through to final delivery. Coordinate and manage project tasks and deliverables, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure clear and effective communication throughout the project. Assist with the preparation of project plans, schedules, budgets, and other necessary documentation. Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure successful completion. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations, and that all necessary permits and licenses are in place. Identify and manage project risks, developing contingency plans to mitigate them. Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates to the Project Manager and other stakeholders. Assist with the procurement of materials and services, managing relationships with suppliers and subcontractors. Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure work is being carried out to the required standards. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 2 years in a project management or assistant project management role. Degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience managing commercial construction projects. Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders. Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and regulations. Proficiency in project management software and other relevant IT skills. Proactive approach, anticipating and resolving issues before they become problems. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety at all times.
