Maintenance Electrician

Job Details Location: Roseau Shift: Days Job Schedule: Monday – Friday Hours: 8:00 – 4:30 pm FTE: Full time (1.0) Weekends: Rotate on call Pay: Hourly. It is not typical to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role. Compensation decisions are based on relevant work experience, education, certification & licensure, and internal equity. Responsibilities Schedule and perform routine preventive maintenance on all appropriate equipment as directed by the Director of Maintenance. Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance or repair, as directed. Take temperature readings and boiler room readings. Test generators and other equipment & pumps. Respond to emergencies, including operation of emergency electric generators, fire alarm control, HCAC operations, etc. Organize and maintain inventory of all supplies needed for facility maintenance. Perform general facility upkeep such as repairing doors, walls, floors, ceilings, and other related building repairs. Serve as the designated on‑call maintenance person to cover after‑hour emergency maintenance at scheduled times. Maintain grounds, including mowing, trimming, and snow removal. Qualifications Master Electrician's license in Minnesota. 1st Class C Boiler License. Valid MN driver's license. 1 year experience in physical plant operations and equipment maintenance in an institutional setting preferred. Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, heating, and air conditioning repair. Knowledge and ability to use various manual power tools. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Knowledge of NEC, NDPA 70, and facilities equipment safe usage, maintenance, and storage. Knowledge of common safety practices and procedures including general safety, fire safety, lock out/tag out, arc flash.
